Hey everybody! It is finally here, but a bit late! It is time for the June 2018 Budget Check-In! June was a particularly very blessed month for me financial because some formula from Social Security made me have a bigger payout than what I usually get. They told me to enjoy it and so I did! Come and see how I spent my money in June 2018! 😀
Rent/Monthly Bills: $500.00
This is the minimum amount that I am required to pay. It all goes toward rent and household bills. 🙂
Medication payment for one of my meds! I think LOCMom took care of my other meds, so thank you, LOCMom! 😀
Well, groceries are a little higher this month. It’s mainly because of my sparkling water habit and from buying good quality almond milk. Those were my two highest categories on my grocery category this month. I don’t mind though since both things get drank quickly and nothing is wasted. 🙂
Household Expenses: $219.25
This category is particularly large this month because I bought a lot of stuff I needed and I’m not going to lie… also wanted. 🙂 Things like 4 exercise shorts, a duvet cover, a new night stand (found at a garage sale), Tums in bulk, and bulk size toothbrushes were on the need and want list. But mostly on the need list. June was kind to me and I am very thankful. ❤
Misc. Items: $102.06
Lots of misc. stuff, some I even had to give away back to the thrift store because of our big move. 😥 Just stuff I wanted now that I look it over again. But a lot of that stuff I do plan on enjoying again after our move. 😀
Went over this category by 4 bucks, but I decided to spend a little more in this categor since I had some extra scratch in June. 🙂 Everything was appreciated. ❤
Eating Out: $65.01
Okay, I am WAAAAAY over budget in this category, but I could afford it last month at least. Spent around 18 bucks on a crappy pizza at a tourist trap restaurant in my town and I was so mad about the quality of food I got for around 20 bucks. Grrrrrr. The rest of the food I did buy I really liked though, but I am toning it down basically in July. 🙂
Budgeted Items – $117.93
Yeeeeeees, I had a ball at Costco in June. Got to buy extra things I am always eating. 🙂 Also bought some Father’s Day cards this month at Dollar Tree, but since things were so hectic in June and are a little more hectic in July now, I didn’t get the chance to send them all off. 😥 Next year though for sure! 😀
Let see what the grand total is…
Grand Total: $1155.28
WOW! I sometimes ask myself where all of my money goes and then I look at my budget and say, “Oh… THAT AND THAT AND THAT… > _>”. But hey, it was a windfall month for me and I enjoyed the extra money I was blessed with. ^ _^ Wish I always had that much money to spend each month. Things would be easier for sure. 🙂
Hey everybody! I’m full from eating Costco chicken for lunch and feeling great! Woot woot! This weekend was really fun and I did enjoy it a lot! Come and see what I did! 😀
Things around our house seem to be going well. The big move will be here before we know it and we want to be ready! So LOCMom and I have been packing stuff up and getting everything ready for the moving truck. 😀 Can’t wait!
But this Saturday, I went out shopping! First I went to TJMAXX and got myself a little mini chef’s knife. Maybe even too mini… After using it once, I am going to have to get used to how short it is… The reason why I bought it so small is because I plan on not doing any major cooking with. You know, just chopping up veggies, fruit, and your basic piece of meat. I am so not used to having my own fancy little knife, but with using my TJMAXX gift card to buy it around 5 dollars, it was worth trying it out to see if I liked the knife or not. 🙂 In all honesty, I really do love my new knife, but I just have to get used to it first. ^ _^
A little later on, LOCMom went to meet her friend in the mall and I went shopping while she was visiting with her friend. I noticed that The Children’s Place was having a clearance sale and I thought that would be a perfect opportunity to buy cheap clothing items for my Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes (I pack them year round 🙂 ). And wouldn’t you know it, I find perfect sized shirts for 5-8 year old girls for $0.99 each! I got the three that were left in the perfect size and grabbed one $1.99 shirt since all of the shirts in that store I found were a little too girly girl-ish and had a total preppy attitude about them which made me feel sort of awkward to read some of the sayings on the shirts… Unpopular kid me in school would have hated a lot of those shirts in that store you could say. 😛
Then after buying a few shirts, I went over to a place called Auntie Anne’s and got myself a pretzel with some cheese dip. I have been wanting to try this pretzel chain for a while now and on Saturday, I got my chance to. 🙂 The verdict? The pretzels were good, but a little too hard for my liking. Boooooooooo… :C But hey, if I ever want to try another kind of pretzel they make, I did a survey on my receipt that gave me a coupon for a FREE PRETZEL with the purchase of another pretzel! 😀 Gonna’ be using that coupon. I can feel it since I want to try the place again one more time. 🙂
After getting home from the mall, on Amazon, I ordered a party game since I had a little extra money this month. The game was called Pin the Horn on the Unicorn! I thought this would be a fun game at my future parties and birthday parties I would be holding in the future, so I bought it for 8 bucks. 🙂 Here is the game on Amazon if anyone is interested in getting their own! 😀 Now, since the game is a paper game with paper parts to it, my plan after getting the game is going to be to laminate everything. That way, I can play this game throughout the years to come and it won’t ever fall apart on me! 😀 Yup, I am too smart, haha. 🙂
And, rejoice! I actually saved my receipts from this weekend so I will be able to post my spending for everyone to see! Woot woot!
Money Spent on Saturday
Kid’s Shirts (4 shirts) – $6.38
Mini Chef’s Knife (purchased with giftcard) – $5.35
Pretzel Meal – $4.59
Unicorn Party Game – $7.97
Total Amount Spent:$16.32
Sunday was particularly fun day because today I got to go to… Goodwill! Man, did I have a fun time in there and came out with a lot of treasure!
Check out my haul!
Okay, some of these items were wants, but a lot of it I needed. 🙂 The only items above that I found to be something that I could have done without was the pack of paper and the scissors. I was so excited to find that pack of paper in the thrift store because I thought it was regular printer paper. But to my surprise and for me regrettably not reading the fine print on the pack of paper, the pack of paper was 3-hole punch white printer paper instead of regular white printer paper. UGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH. That’s three dollars I will never see again. So now this paper is going to go to the place I volunteer at so they can hopefully use it in their office areas. And then the green scissors. Silly me thinking they were shredding scissors for credit cards or something, but instead, they were herb cutting scissors! Herb cutting scissors! What were they doing in the office section? 😥 Oh well. I find that I don’t come across herb cuttings scissors quite in thrift stores too often and LOCMom wants to hold onto them, so that is what we’re going to do with them. 🙂 So yup! That is my Goodwill haul for today! I try not to go to Goodwill too often though because it is so easy to spend too much in there, so I am probably not going to be going back to Goodwill for a while, haha. 🙂
And a little while later, LOCMom and I went to Costco! While there, I tried out one of Costco’s new food items at their snack bar, the Acai Bowl!
I know I am dieting, but this wasn’t very many calories, so I decided to try it. Maaaaaan, was it ever good! I’m sure it was full of sugar, but I would definitely get this item again! I’m still sad they discontinued the polish dog at their food court, but when we finally get settled in at our new home, I will be buying the polish dogs and hotdog buns they use for hotdogs at the food court at Costco and make my own polish dogs at home for cheat meals! YUMMY!
After everything, I went home and relaxed. 🙂
Money Spent on Sunday
Thank You Cards (replacing old Thank You cards with these) – $3.19
3-Holed Printer Paper – $3.19
Black Small Garbage Bin (will be using for dirty wash cloths in my bathroom) – $2.19

Glass Dotted Cup (prettier drinking glass for LOCKitty Amelia) – $1.19
White Binder (for paper records) – $0.69
Black Filing Tower (for consolidating my folders and space) – $3.19
Acai Bowl (Yummy! 😀 ) – $5.35
Total Amount Spent – $28.63
So yes! A very fun weekend indeed! I think going to Goodwill is always fun for me, so that is what really makes my day when I go to it. Or any other thrift store, yard sale, Estate sale, church sale, storage locker sale, etc. Love looking through stuff! O uO
Hello, everybody! I would like to say I am very sorry I have not had a new post for about a week or so. Things have been very crazy around here. So in today’s special post, I will be telling everyone what I have been up to instead! 😀
The Big Move
So in the past few weeks, LOCMom and I have been trying to get our house ready to sell. Well, I am happy to report that we have a buyer! That didn’t take long at all! 😀 So we have to be out of here by around the end of July. We will be moving to the southern part of Northern California where we will not be so isolated location wise. Plus, there will basically be more stuff to do for young people. THANK TEH LORDZ. The only young people that come to my current town we will soon be getting the heck out of is for the local cult of Bethel Church. I used to go to said cult before it took over our local convention center, so I know how crazy its members are. 😐
So yeah, I am very excited about our big move!
So recently, I have just got done celebrating my birthday in June! On my birthday, LOCCousinJ got me a card and some beautiful flowers! LOCMom also got me some presents! The presents I got were a new red folding event chair and a schmancy laundry basket! I think I got one or two more things as well, but I can’t remember them. *shrug emoji* LOCMom also took me out to dinner where I had a healthy veggie filled omelet, some greasy fries, and a wonderful rich chocolate cake! YUMMY!
However, my OFFICIAL birthday party had to be planned in advance because my party guests are my cousins and a family friend and they are pretty busy a lot of the time. 🙂 My birthday party will be later on tonight and it will also be LOCMom’s and my Goodbye Party before we leave our town! Hoping that everyone will have a lot of fun!
Visiting LOCAunt and LOCUncle
Last weekend, LOCMom and I went to visit LOCAunt and LOCUncle! I also got to see my other cousins as well which was pretty nice! 🙂 We had a lot of fun there and we also got to meet with LOCMom’s realtor to look at some houses! It was also Father’s Day weekend, so we also went to visit LOCGrandpa in his care home and had lunch with him!
Seeing how LOCMom and I are going to move to LOCAunt’s and LOCUncle’s area, I am pretty used to this area by now. 🙂 Still getting to know the place little by little, but soon I will be an expert, haha! 😀 I also met a new friend in LOCAunt’s and LOCUncle’s neighborhood we will be moving into! She has the cutest little black dog who was in need to be groomed. 😛 Her groming appointment was soon and summer time is coming, so that cute little doggy will feel better having shorter hair I bet. 🙂 In the neighborhood we plan on moving into, I will be able to live with LOCMom as a disabled child under the park rules. The neighborhood we will be moving into is a mobile home park that is really fancy! I have been getting to know some of the older people that live in the park and a lot of them are very nice! I will even get to feed the birds every day if I want to! Just can’t feed the Canadian Geese which is cool with me. 🙂 They are seen as pests and can get quite aggressive when they have babies in the springtime and while they are growing.
I am hoping that LOCMom and I will enjoy our soon-to-be new home a lot! 😀
Reading Cool Books
So, I have recently told everyone in one of my past Weekend Updates that a female Buddhist Monk hooked me up with a Buddha book about Buddha’s life! Well, I got through that book in about two days and I loved it! I recently bought another Buddha book that looked like it had an extended version of Buddha’s story, but it was a children’s book. After reading a chapter of it, it is definitely more like a religious story out of a holy book instead of a more human version of Buddha’s life like the first book I read. I still find it to be very fun and can’t wait to tackle it all! 😀 Next up after I learn about Buddha’s life is Mohammad’s life from Islam! I have been in a kick about reading about other religions’ prophets and so far it has been an absolute blast for me! ^ o^
I have also bought a few non-fiction books from Dollar Tree and they are very informative! I just got through reading a Western history book about many periods throughout Western history such as The Resonance and the Napoleonic Wars. Pretty cool stuff! 😀 Gotta’ tackle my science and Earth books now! It helps that these non-fiction books I bought at Dollar Tree can be understood by anybody who reads them including children, so they are great reading for anybody I think! 😀
I have also been reading manga books I got from my local library, but I am afraid I bit off more than I could chew with my second round of books… Couldn’t get through them all in the time period I had them since everything has been so crazy and stressful for me. 😦 But I hope to conquer the entire Naruto series while I am still in town! Tis’ a goal of mine. 🙂
Yup, so I have been doing a lot of stuff! Sorry for the silence I have been giving everyone. 😥 I don’t mean to, but if I have more than like two things on my mental plate that I have to do, I am easily stressed out. But I looked at my blog traffic report and I was expecting my readers to forget about my blog because I have been so quiet and I would just like to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for still believing in me! You guys have been coming to my blog a lot waiting for an update or if you are new readers to my blog, I humbly welcome you! 😀 I hope I can continue writing about things that you guys like reading and even though my life is not very exciting and I am not the most perfect blogger in the world, I would just like to say thank you. 🙂 ❤
Now that things have settled down with the house showing, I hope to be able to be a little more active on my blog now than I have been this past week or two. I’m going to try, haha. 🙂
