A breif Weekend Update + What I am up to! (June 30, 2018 – July 3, 2018)

Hey everybody! I forgot to keep my receipts again, so there will be no money spent part in this Weekend Update. And it’s Tuesday, I know. : / Because of this, I want to keep things brief. But if you stick around, there is a special surprise at the end having to do with LOCKitty Amelia! πŸ˜€

Well, this weekend I officially kick started my diet again and I am trying to lose weight again. I have discovered the perfect time to go out exercising on these 100+ degree days in the evening, so nothing is stopping me now! πŸ˜€ I also went shopping at a few places as well and bought a few fun things this weekend! So yup, a pretty fun weekend, but man, do I wish there were more to do in my town than just shopping. 😦 But I will be out of this town soon and will be going somewhere where there will be more to do, so I cannot wait! Plus, our new town will be next to other towns around the Sacramento area, so no isolation unlike far Northern California! Can’t wait! ^ _^

What I have been up to

For the past two weeks, I have been watering LOCNeighborP’s plants. I think I may have killed a few of them from overwatering them, but most of them were still alive in the end! Phew! LOCNeighborP said she did not mind if some of the plants died and I was very thankful for that. Dx;;; I even saw some little grasshoppers and a medium sized grasshopper hopping from the plants when I was watering them and I even got to hold the medium sized one! It was so cute! ^ _ ^

Reading a lot

So I have been reading a lot. Not a lot of Japanese comics, or manga, you could say, but regular print books. Because believe it or not, I do get tired of reading manga all of the time. This lady needs a break from it sometimes! So I have been reading the news and even articles about science! But I have also been tackling a new book called, ‘Stuff White People Like’. The book is based on an old blog that is sadly not updated anymore, but a lot of the content in it is still relevent! Some of the content is outdated as well because technology and things have changed since the early 2010’s, but it’s still a great read if you are a white person that likes to laugh at yourself!

Exercising Again

Yes, I am exercising again! I have discovered the perfect time to go exercising in the evening after 100+ degree weather days and I have been back at it! Unfortunately, I have gained back 4 pounds and I feel like a blimp. πŸ˜₯ I don’t look bad, but I do know when I have to start reigning things in again. I’m just hoping I can drop the weight again, but things have been slow going for me. 😦

And besides getting ready for our big move, I have not been up too much I’m afraid, haha. This is what happens when you have a boring life and have nothing to do in a town for people my age. All those young people moving here for that Bethel Cult must be very bored during the weekends, haha. πŸ˜›

LOCKitty Amelia got shaved!

And since I am not up to anything much these days, at least LOCKitty Amelia’s life has been lively! Well, she has been sleeping mostly because of the weather maybe or because she is getting older, but just recently, LOCKitty got shaved! LOCMom was tired of having hair all over the house and even in our fooooood… So, she had her shaved!

Here is a before pic…

K1

And here is an after!

K4

Yes, her furry coat (which was her pride and joy) has been shaved off! However she looks so cute now! I think she is over it, but she has been sleeping much more lately probably because it has been getting so hot.

I have also been taking pictures of LOCKitty Amelia and I now present to you… My pic dump of her! πŸ˜€

Yes, she literally climbed into the pillow case just to chill out under the pillow. Not even kidding. I totally found her like this and had snap a pic! xDΒ

K3

Tired LOCKitty…

K6

Another instance I found of her sleeping under one of my pillows! She is too funny! πŸ˜€ I know, this picture looks totally set up, but I promise you this is how I found her! O _OΒ

K2

And what is really funny about this pic is because I moved her on her back before taking it and she just stayed like this. πŸ˜› She was so relaxed, haha. πŸ™‚Β

K5

So yes, I know LOCKitty Amelia needed her own blog post for these pics, but I decided to share them in this one! Isn’t she so funny? Calicos are really fun like that. πŸ™‚

Conclusion

So yes, things have been pretty calm around here. Besides are impending big move, I have just been hanging out lately. I’m enjoying my free schedule a lot and hope to keep it free as July ticks by! πŸ˜€

What have you been up to?

Hmm… I wonder what industries the kids are killing these days? (Part 2)

Hey everybody! Sorry for the lack of the Weekend Update last week; I wasn’t really feeling all that well to write. 😦 But I am here to report that not much happened this weekend and there was not a lot to write about anyway. *shrug emoji* But I’m hoping my weekend will be more exciting this week!

However, now is the time for PART 2 of what the kids these days are killing! In my last blog post, I talked about what the kids are killing according to this Business Insider article and today, I will tackle the last categories of that article. I will be giving my feedback on what I think Generation Z is killing and whether I think those categories dying are a good thing or not. Let’s get started! πŸ™‚

Pandora

According to theΒ article, Generation Z doesn’t dig paying for online radio like Pandora and likes other music platforms to pay for instead. Huh. xD I guess it is just a preference thing. As for me, I don’t listen to any online music radio stations nor pay for any of them at all. That’s because when I buy music, I buy a song from the iTunes store on my “economy model” Apple iPhone, the iPhone SE, and by doing that, I will have that song forever and never have to pay month to month in order to listen to it. πŸ™‚ Double the points if you rip CD music to your playlist from your computer and onto your phone for free from CDs from the library! πŸ˜€ ALL ABOARD THE SAVINGS TRAIN. WOO WOO!

As for if I would ever listen and pay for any of these music platforms if I wanted to… Probably not. My music taste is very different from the average joe and these music platforms probably would not have the kind of music I like listening to anyway. I’m sure they would, but besides K-Pop music, do they have a wide variety of J-pop music from anime that I like? From looking at their dismal selection from the iTunes store concerning music from anime series, it’s looking bad. So… Paying for music platforms? Most likely not. πŸ™‚ I guess I can’t relate to the kids these days that way, haha. πŸ˜›

Traditional Luxury Goods

So the kids aren’t into Louis Vuitton bags. I understand. Unless they are rich, they probably can’t afford them anyway. πŸ˜›

But all seriousness, the article says that if the stuff kids are buying doesn’t filter out good for their Instagram photos, then they aren’t interested in it. I guess showing off a well made bag that lasts forever (like a Louis Viutton bag) that won’t ever fall apart on you isn’t considered sexy in the material sense with the kids these days. I hope you parents out there are taking notes and are teaching your children the opposite that buying something that lasts forever instead of just a few months is always the better deal in the long run. Even if it is a luxury item.

But I am kind of glad that luxury items like Louis Vuitton bags are falling out of style with the kids even if it is for all of the wrong reasons. Like anybody these days can afford them unless they actually have a lot of spare cash in their bank accounts. If you are one of these people, consider yourself very blessed. If you are not one of these people, but happen to be people who ike good purses taht won’t fall apart on you rightw away and you like the idea of owning a Louis Vuitton bag but can’t afford it (I am… one of these people. O _O ), then I highly suggest going the poor man’s route to TJMAXX or your nearest thrift store and buying a budget designer brand bag that will last for cheap! πŸ˜€ Just read over my thrift store shopping rules about used designer bags first if you are going the thrift store route and you should be golden either way! πŸ˜€

Crocs

So Generation Z thinks Crocs shoes are awful. I don’t blame them. I remember LOCMom buying me a pair of Crocs from Payless Shoes when I was younger and I never even wore them, so I can see why. xD Sorry LOCMom. 😦 And since Generation Z is not into luxury items, they are definitely NOT going to buy those Balenciaga Croc shoes for $850 that are mentioned in this category in the article. Anyone who buys shoes for that much money that are not made by people who make a living wage for making shoes like that has more money than sense as far as I am concerned. : | Or if they just buy them because they are, y’know, Crocs. : / Yes, I think Crocs are ugly. We millennials don’t find them an attractive object to purchase either. xD

Casual Dining Restaurants

DIIIIIIIEEEEEEEE!1!!1!

I mean, awww, poor casual dining restaurants. First millennials shun you and then Generation Z doesn’t like you either and will be putting the final nail in your coffins. But I’m sorry Generation Z, according to the article, if you think a Chik-Fil-A sandwich expresses ‘who you are’ on Instragram, than y’all have some major issues there. Hashtag #NotallGenZ I’m sure, but still, c’moooooon. : /

Besides the whole thing about these restaurants food not looking great for Gen Z’s Instagram pages, they have the nerve to charge you around 12-15 bucks for a plate of food they cooked in the microwave in their “kitchens” and expect their customers to sing high praises of it. Uh… no. You know what ticks this millennial off? Restaurants who brand themselves as “hip” whether they be regular restaurants or casual dining restaurants and serve crappy food that is above 12 dollars wil NEVER get my money again. THIS MILLENNIAL HAS SPOKEN.

But the article is accurate that fast casual dining restaurants are doing better than casual dining restaurants. The reason why they are doing better is because I find that their food tastes better and they actually care about the quality of their food that they serve to their customers. I have only been to one fast casual restaurant and that is Chipotle, so I can only offer my opinion based on that one I am afraid. But I am sure there are some bad fast casual restaurants out there, however I haven’t ran into any that are awful though. :shrug emoji*

Facebook

This category was not included in the list, but it is mentioned in the first paragraph of the article and deserves an honorable mention. It is proven that Gen Z HATES Facebook. The reason I am hearing they don’t hang out on it is because all of “the olds” and their parents use it and there are no young people like them on there. I mean, tehy are on there, but tehy don’t post much because of you know, us olds being on it. *will try not to take offence, but really, I’m not offended at all* : | Instead, teens these days prefer Instagram as their preferred social media platform. However, it is still owned by Facebook, but it is not Facebook. Don’t tell the kids that or it will make them sad. Or not, haha. πŸ˜›

As for Instagram, I must be the only person who does not have an Instagram account. I honestly am not into taking good looking pictures of myself or of sceneries and places Β that I can edit under the picture editor on my phone to make pictures look pretty to post on an Instagram page to brag about how my life is better than ALL OF YOURS!!!1! Kidding. πŸ˜› But that is honestly how I see Instagram and sometimes Facebook. I hardly update my Facebook page as it is, so Instagram would be of no use to me I’m afraid. πŸ™‚

So Facebook might be dying in the future to replaced by something else. Is this millennial sad? Not really. The only reason I ever use Facebook these days is for groups to talk to people that share my similar interests in and for following Facebook pages that I like that keep me “woke” and in the loop for issues that I care about such as free healthcare for all. πŸ™‚ I also like seeing friends posts every now and then, but since my life is not that exciting and I basically chose not to post things to Facebook of my most exciting moments (like my recent birthday party) because I always forget anwyay, I don’t really post a whole lot. πŸ˜› But make no mistake! I do lurk and check all of my friends new posts on their pages even when Facebook does not show me them on my newsfeed. Having only friends and family that I actually care about on my Facebook page helps as well to keep up with everyone’s new posts, so everything is pretty chill in this category for me you could say. πŸ™‚

Conclusion and Finals Thoughts

So that wraps up this series of what Generation Z is killing! I hope everyone enjoyed reading it! And to all of the Generation Z kids out there, I am not going to be like one of those lame-o baby boomers that hate on the younger generation just because we are young. Hashtag #Notallboomers of course, but ya’ll know what boomers I’m talking about. > _> As a millennial, I like you Generation Z and you just keep chuggin’ along! You’re doing great! Things are looking pretty bleak right now news wise, but I am hoping things will change in the future so you can grow up in a better time than we millennials did. I know you are aware of how a lot of us millennials are suffering with college debt we can’t get rid of even if we go into bankruptcy, so it is important that you learn from our mistakes and don’t repeat them. Remember, I guarantee you that the world will not be the same in five years and you will have to be ready for that. Good or bad, things will be getting dicey, I predict. Or if our society is actually ready for these massive changes, things will be smooth sailing for everyone.

And alway remember Generation Z, if you don’t like how things are being ran around here, as President Barack Obama once said, “Don’t boo! Vote!” If you don’t vote when you turn 18 and beyond, I’m afraid you can’t complain. πŸ™‚

Well, I think that wraps everything up!

Do you agree with what Generation Z is killing?Β

What I have been up to! (June 20, 2018)

Hello, everybody! I would like to say I am very sorry I have not had a new post for about a week or so. Things have been very crazy around here. So in today’s special post, I will be telling everyone what I have been up to instead! πŸ˜€

The Big Move

So in the past few weeks, LOCMom and I have been trying to get our house ready to sell. Well, I am happy to report that we have a buyer! That didn’t take long at all! πŸ˜€ So we have to be out of here by around the end of July. We will be moving to the southern part of Northern California where we will not be so isolated location wise. Plus, there will basically be more stuff to do for young people. THANK TEH LORDZ. The only young people that come to my current town we will soon be getting the heck out of is for the local cult of Bethel Church. I used to go to said cult before it took over our local convention center, so I know how crazy its members are.  😐

So yeah, I am very excited about our big move!

My Birthday!

So recently, I have just got done celebrating my birthday in June! On my birthday, LOCCousinJ got me a card and some beautiful flowers! LOCMom also got me some presents! The presents I got were a new red folding event chair and a schmancy laundry basket! I think I got oneΒ or two more things as well, but I can’t remember them. *shrug emoji* LOCMom also took me out to dinner where I had a healthy veggie filled omelet, some greasy fries, and a wonderful rich chocolate cake! YUMMY!

However, my OFFICIAL birthday party had to be planned in advance because my party guests are my cousins and a family friend and they are pretty busy a lot of the time. πŸ™‚ My Β birthday party will be later on tonight and it will also be LOCMom’s and my Goodbye Party before we leave our town! Hoping that everyone will have a lot of fun!

Visiting LOCAunt and LOCUncle

Last weekend, LOCMom and I went to visit LOCAunt and LOCUncle! I also got to see my other cousins as well which was pretty nice! πŸ™‚ We had a lot of fun there and we also got to meet with LOCMom’s realtor to look at some houses! It was also Father’s Day weekend, so we also went to visit LOCGrandpa in his care home and had lunch with him!

Seeing how LOCMom and I are going to move to LOCAunt’s and LOCUncle’s area, I am pretty used to this area by now. πŸ™‚ Still getting to know the place little by little, but soon I will be an expert, haha! πŸ˜€ I also met a new friend in LOCAunt’s and LOCUncle’s neighborhood we will be moving into! She has the cutest little black dog who was in need to be groomed. πŸ˜› Her groming appointment was soon and summer time is coming, so that cute little doggyΒ will feel better having shorter hair I bet. πŸ™‚ In the neighborhood we plan on moving into, I will be able to live with LOCMom as a disabled child under the park rules. The neighborhood we will be moving into is a mobile home park that is really fancy! I have been getting to know some of the older people that live in the park and a lot of them are very nice! I will even get to feed the birds every day if I want to! Just can’t feed the CanadianΒ Geese which is cool with me. πŸ™‚ They are seen as pests and can get quite aggressive when they have babies in the springtime and while they are growing.

I am hoping that LOCMom and I will enjoy our soon-to-be new home a lot! πŸ˜€

Reading Cool Books

So, I have recently told everyone in one of my past Weekend Updates that a female Buddhist Monk hooked me up with a Buddha book about Buddha’s life! Well, I got through that book in about two days and I loved it! I recently bought another Buddha book that looked like it had an extended version of Buddha’s story, but it was a children’s book. After reading a chapter of it, it is definitely more like a religious story out of a holy book instead of a more human version of Buddha’s life like the first book I read. I still find it to be very fun and can’t wait to tackle it all! πŸ˜€ Next up after I learn about Buddha’s life is Mohammad’s life from Islam! I have been in a kick about reading about other religions’ prophets and so far it has been an absolute blast for me! ^ o^

I have also bought a few non-fiction books from Dollar Tree and they are very informative! I just got through reading a Western history book about many periods throughout Western history such as The Resonance and the Napoleonic Wars. Pretty cool stuff! πŸ˜€ Gotta’ tackle my science and Earth books now! It helps that these non-fiction books I bought at Dollar Tree can be understood by anybody who reads them including children, so they are great reading for anybody I think! πŸ˜€

I have also been reading manga books I got from my local library, but I am afraid I bit off more than I could chew with my second round of books… Couldn’t get through them all in the time period I had them since everything has been so crazy and stressful for me. 😦 But I hope to conquer the entire Naruto series while I am still in town! Tis’ a goal of mine. πŸ™‚

Conclusion

Yup, so I have been doing a lot of stuff! Sorry for the silence I have been giving everyone. πŸ˜₯ I don’t mean to, but if I have more than like two things on my mental plate that I have to do, I am easily stressed out. But I looked at my blog traffic report and I was expecting my readers to forget about my blog because I have been so quiet and I would just like to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for still believing in me! You guys have been coming to my blog a lot waiting for an update or if you are new readers to my blog, I humbly welcome you! πŸ˜€ I hope I can continue writing about things that you guys like reading and even though my life is not very exciting and I am not the most perfect blogger in the world, I would just like to say thank you. πŸ™‚ ❀

Now that things have settled down with the house showing, I hope to be able to be a little more active on my blog now than I have been this past week or two. I’m going to try, haha. πŸ™‚

What have you been up to? πŸ™‚
