What did I do/buy this Thanksgiving and this weekend? (November 23, 25-26)

Hello, everybody! This week’s weekend update is special because it will also include how I spent Thanksgiving!

So, we’ll start with Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, we didn’t go to LOCAunt’s and LOCUncle’s for Thanksgiving due to LOCMom and I coming down with colds, so we went out to eat since it was just the two of us! Check out the Thanksgiving food at our local restaurant, Lumberjacks!

Thanksgiving

Mmmmm, good stuff it was! I even had leftovers for the next day! LOCMom treated me to this delicious meal, so two thumbs up for her! ๐Ÿ™‚

And a little later, we hit the Black Friday sales at the mall! I managed to buy four tops that I usually wear for 5 bucks each and with a $10 off $10 coupon from JC Penney, seeing that two shirts were $10.00 in total, with that coupon, it was like getting two shirts free! In reality, the coupon made the shirts $2.50 each, but still, great deal! ๐Ÿ˜€

And *ahem*, I shrank a size! WOO HOO! My basic shirts I bought last year are OFFICIALLY too baggy on me! And everyone, I’m just going to keep getting smaller! ๐Ÿ™‚ Here are some before and after photos! The after is me in my new shirt!

Before:

After:

I’m still stoked about the whole being down a size thing! ๐Ÿ˜€ This diet is working, haha. Or should I say lifestyle change? ๐Ÿ™‚

On Saturday, I went to the Spendypants Grocery Store to restock my diet food since I was getting low on food. I had to since I was tired of eating food that was not good for me all week. : ( But after Thanksgiving, I’m back on my diet and plan to keep going with it! My goal is to be 155 pounds by Christmas! I’ve got this! ๐Ÿ˜€

Money Spent on Saturday:

  • Perfect Pinch Chicken Seasoning – $3.69
  • Milk – $3.99
  • Bananas (3) – $0.96
  • Fuji Apples (2) – $1.15
  • White Mushrooms (3) – $1.01
  • Romain Lettuce (bulk size) – $3.99

Total Amount Spent:ย $14.79

Bah. I dislike going to the Spendypants Grocery Store to buy food since everything is expensive in there, but sometimes, I just don’t have a choice. : (

On Sunday, I stayed home and helped LOCMom put up the Christmas tree! After putting up the tree by myself last year, I just can’t sand putting up fake trees anymore. Especially big fake trees. If I ever get my own place in the future, I will probably just have a 4 foot fake tree and do limited decorating each year. Ah, my minimalist dream. ๐Ÿ™‚

And I just had dinner, so here is a picture of what I ate!

dinner

That salad, or hash, was about 446 calories. Yes, on my diet, I count my calories. ๐Ÿ™‚ It helps me lose weight by doing this since I was not eating as much calories as before, I found. ย O _O So if I keep this up, I’m sure to keep losing weight in the future and will someday reach my goal weight of 125 pounds! I’m currently in the upper 150 range weight wise and if I keep it up, my 155 weight goal will be reached by Christmas! Can’t wait! ๐Ÿ˜€

Money Spent On Sunday

Total Amount Spent: $0.00

So that wraps up another weekend! Today it has been rainy and cold, but tomorrow, things should clear up enough so I can walk again outside! I’m coming for you goal weight! > _<;;;

How was your weekend?

What did I do/buy this weekend? (November 18-19, 2017)

Hello everybody! Sorry about being a day late with the weekend update! I was really cold yesterday and I have a handle on it now typing in gloves! Frankly, it slows down my typing quite a bit, but the gloves keep my hands warm! ๐Ÿ™‚

On Saturday, it was cheat meal day for me, so with LOCMom’s help, I made green bean casserole from scratch! No soup cans here!

cassarole

This is when it came out of the oven! Check it out plated!

cassarole 1

That, my friends, has bacon in it! BACON! I put more bacon than the recipe called for because bacon is good and it turned out delicious! Way better than the canned version for sure! ๐Ÿ˜€ I am not ashamed to say I ate most of it on Saturday since I wanted it out of the house by Sunday. ๐Ÿ™‚ Dieting and all. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Also on Sunday, I went to Dollar Tree and found the FUNNIEST playing cards ever! Check em’ out!

cards

Aren’t they the most hilarious and naughty deck of playing cards you have ever seen? ๐Ÿ˜› I spotted them at the checkout counter and for a buck, I had to have them for the lulz! By the way, The Pleasure Pit is an actual casino in Las Vegas, Nevada which makes it all the more funnier! LOCBrotherH looked it up and let’s just say that some of the ladies in that casino were dressed like hookers, haha. I think I am going to rehome these cards though because I don’t need anymore playing cards anyway. ๐Ÿ™‚

Money Spent on Saturday

Deck of Cards – $1.00

Total Amount Spent: $1.00

On Sunday, LOCMom went shopping by Goodwill which made it an excuse to go in there and I found two things!

First thing I came across while looking at the knives was a watermelon knife!

knife

Now, since I bought the knife at Goodwill, I’m not sure if it was a dud knife or not, bit for $3.19, I might as well try it out and see if it will work! Now all I need is a melon. ๐Ÿ™‚

And the next thing I bought was a new shirt!

bass shirt

The brand was ‘G.H. Bass & Co.’ and from looking up the shirt online, it looks like this particular clothing company does not sell their women’s clothing at Macy’s anymore, only men’s clothing. But I do remember that this brand was pretty pricey and for $4.99, this shirt was a steal! However, the men’s shirts in this brand are going for $20 and up at Macy’s, so not a bad deal if I do say so myself!

That is another secret of thrifting! If you are thrifting clothes you want to wear, know thy brands! ๐Ÿ™‚ You don’t want to end up paying for a Wal-Mart shirt that was used like I did, do you? :C Won’t make that mistake again even though I did love my gently used Wal-Mart shirt at the time of purchase and still do. ๐Ÿ™‚

Money Spent on Sunday

Watermelon Knife – $3.19

Shirt – $4.99

Total Amount Spent: $8.18

So not a bad weekend! I really did enjoy my green bean casserole though! Soooooo tasty!

And bad news about the birds at the Frugalpants Grocery Store everyone. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ When I was feeding the birds, a security guard came up to me and told me the store didn’t want anyone feeding the birds anymore because they found a dead pigeon in their trash can and they blamed the predators for being attracted to the pigeons that hang out at the store. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ So in other words, the crows were coming in and eating the pigeons. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ However, the security guard said that if it was his store, he would let me keep feeding the birds though, which I thought was cool. ๐Ÿ™‚ He was friendly to me about the whole thing though, so I wasn’t too freaked out. ๐Ÿ™‚ But man, was I ever bummed! I guess that is money saved? Oh well. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

And it’s Thanksgiving this week, so I’m not sure if I will have time to put a weekly blog post up because of the holidays. I will definitely be putting a weekend update combining it with a Thanksgiving update though! ๐Ÿ™‚

If I don’t post anything by then, I hope all of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday and if you do shop on Black Friday, shop smart and don’t overspend! ๐Ÿ™‚

How was your weekend?

Amazon Go, Amazon’s cashierless grocery store, is almost ready to go and I can’t wait!

Well, this tidbit of news just came out today about Amazon Go, Amazon’s cashierless grocery store that debuted earlier this year, but was for Amazon employees only because the “walk in, walk out” technology was still glitchy. But according to this articleย on Bloomberg, the long wait may be over! It is being reported that Amazon Go is almost ย ready for prime time and we will not have to wait too long until this new cashierless technology is out in the wild. And you know what everyone? I am excited!

No more will I or anyone else have to wait in long lines just to leave a store with an item that I paid for at the checkout counter. I can just walk in and walk out! Assuming Amazon commercializes their technology outside of their stores. That is what I am hoping for. ๐Ÿ™‚ Or imagine… Not going to a cashier to checkout all of your groceries and just walking out of the store with them instead while this technology charges your debit card or credit card. Sounds like a dream to me! Orย how about convenience stores? Want a soda or a snack? Well, just walk into the store, grab what you want, and walk out! Bam! Card charged! Yup, sounds like a good deal to me. ๐Ÿ™‚

Now you are probably thinking, “But Ms. Living On Cents, what about people’s jobs? What will happen to them?” And to be quite honest, I’m just not sure. I know a lot of jobs will be lost if Amazon commercializes this technology. So I am just not sure. Those workers will probably have to find new jobs or go back to school. But I don’t think that will be a perfect solution though. Not everybody will find a replacement job since all of those low skilled jobs will be lost and not everybody can afford school especially if you are a retail or store clerk. I am predicting that the government will have to step in at some point to support all of these people who have lost their jobs to the progress of technology.

One way of supporting people that have lost their jobs to robots is called a Universal Basic Income, which is what I think will eventually happen as the world marches on technology wise. A Universal Basic Income is a money system where every person gets the same amount of money each month just for being a human. No strings attached, just free money to spend on whatever you want. It’s that simple. And everybody who gets that free money each month can have as muchย of that money and any money they have in general as they want in their bank accounts. It’s not like Social Security Disability at all where you can’t have over $2000.00. I predict as this cashierless technology is instituted and even as self driving cars (which is a whole other subject) hit the roads n the next few years, millions of jobs will be lost and to support American citizens, the United States government will have to eventually step in and do something about it. A Universal Basic Income is one option that the government could implement for every American so we would all not be without money to spend to keep the economy going. And regardless, the government WILL find a way to pay for it if they want the citizens of this country to keep buying stuff they need and don’t need. This is just one option, however.

Anyway, before those dark days come, I’m going to enjoy seeing where this cashierless technology takes the retail experience if it’s ever commercialized outside of Amazon. Things are changing and are about to change into a whole other world that a lot of people are just not ready for, but if people know what is coming, they will be prepared and ready for it because you cannot stop progress.

What do you think about Amazon Go’s cashierless technology? Are you excited for it?

What did I do/buy this weekend? (November 12, 2017)

Wow! What a fun weekend! I got to do my most favorite thing in the world: Thrift store shopping! On both Saturday and Sunday! I also went to Dollar Tree and bought a few things as well. ๐Ÿ™‚ So I will tell you guys all about my weekend below!

On Saturday, LOCMom was feeling thrifty, so we decided to hit up some thrift stores! We first went to the Spendypants Thrift Store, or The Cancer Society Discovery Shop, which was having a not so spendy 50% off almost everything sale on Saturday! I couldn’t believe it, so LOCMom and I had to stop there and look around!

Now, I usually don’t buy much from the Spendypants Thrift Store because mostly everything is expensive, but I managed to find a new pair of house slippers that didn’t smell too bad! They were “hiding” in the children’s section. ๐Ÿ˜› I tried them on in-store and they fit great! I was so happy to come across their hiding spot. ๐Ÿ˜€ I also picked out a white star for our Christmas tree this year which will replace our Dollar Tree star from last year. However, it chips easily, so we’ll have to be careful with it when we pack it away for next year.

Here are my slippers and Christmas star!

cs haul

And THEN! I couldn’t believe it, but I can across a Michael Kors top in the clothing area in my size! That’s a designer item everybody! So of course, I had to try it on. And you know what happened next? IT FIT! ๐Ÿ˜€ And it was 50% off almost everything day, so the Michael Kors top which was 7 bucks was now $3.75! $3.75! These designer shirts usually go for around $80-$90 a pop, so I was absolutely THRILLED to get the shirt for such a deal! I think the shirt was missing some sequins on it, but it was hardly noticeable!

Here is my beau-ti-ful Michael Kors shirt I bought!

mk

And before the Spendypants Thrift Store opened, I went to Dollar Tree next door and bought some Thanksgiving cards for friends and family! I also bought some Operation Christmas Child supplies for LOCMom’s shoebox and my own. Every month, I buy 5 items for my boxes and the items certainly add up after an entire year!

Then after the Spendypants Thrift Store, we went to the Salvation Army thrift store across town, but alas, I didn’t find anything there. : ( Apparently, not a lot of rich people donate their stuff to that thrift store, so there was not a lot of good stuff there to go through. Even the clothes were lacking. Oh well. We probably won’t hit up that thrift store again in the near future.

Then after thrift store shopping, LOCMom and I went home and I had my cheat meal for the week! The cheat meal was macaroni and cheese and meatloaf! Oh man folks, this stuff was sooooooooo good, yet so fattening, haha. ๐Ÿ˜›

cheat meal

And yes, that is bacon on top of the meatloaf. ๐Ÿ™‚

And then we stayed home all day! It was oneย of those relaxing kind of days.

Money Spent on Saturday

  • Thanksgiving Cards – $12.00 ($0.50 a card)
  • Operation Christmas Child (OCC) Supplies – $5.00
  • Christmas Star – $2.00
  • House Slippers – $1.50

Total Amount Spent: $20.50

On Sunday, our first stop was Goodwill! Man, I can’t get enough of that place. I didn’t find any items there, but I did find some cute clothes! One even had a Macy’s tag still on it!

GW haul

The brown sweater was the Macy’s item! Methinks it was there because it had visible snags in the arm hole and the original owners didn’t know how to get it out. But I do! *insert awesome face here* I easily got those snags out at home and BAM! It looks like a brand new sweater! Going to the right of the picture, I also purchased a brown camisole for a black striped dress of mine. It looks great with it! And last but not least is the red turtleneck shirt. Imagine to my horror after looking up the brand of the shirt that I paidย 6 bucks for a WAL-MART SHIRT. Yes, you read that right… A Wal-Mart shirt! Note to future thrifting self: If you see a brand name shirt called ‘White Stag’, it’s a Walmart shirt and you shouldn’t pay 6 bucks for it. *sigh* Oh well, art least it was cute. I loved it in the fitting room and I loved it at home as well!

Goodwill Outfit Selfie!

GW selfie

I think my wintery doggy shirt looks pretty good in my new sweater that still had the tag on it! ๐Ÿ˜‰ There’s a clearance necklace I bought at Kohl’s a long time ago in that selfie hiding somewhere…

And then LOCMom and I hit up the Frugalpantsย Grocery Store, or Winco, for food! I bought 3 pounds of ground turkey since it is very tasty and pretty low in calories! Gonna’ freeze most of it. ๐Ÿ™‚ Then I just got my regular food I usually buy.

And then at the end of our shopping trip, I fed the pigeons with the food I got in the store from the bulk bins! Those cutie wooties love that stuff so much. ๐Ÿ™‚

I got a better picture of the pigeons and the brewer’s black birds eating the food up though!

pigeons 2

They were pretty hungry today, haha. ๐Ÿ™‚

And after the Frugalpants Grocery Store, LOCMom and I went home to relax for the rest of the day! This weekend was so successful! ๐Ÿ˜€

Money Spent on Sunday

  • Goodwill Haul – $17.48
  • Bird Seed (from bulk bins) – $2.08
  • Ground Turkey (bulk size) – $5.98
  • While Milk – $3.50
  • Sweet Potato – $1.64
  • Grape Tomatoes – $1.98
  • Strawberries – $2.98
  • Bananas (3) – $0.76
  • Romaine Lettuce – $2.48
  • Crimini Mushrooms – $0.80
  • Avocados (3) – $2.94

Total Amount Spent: $42.62

So yeah, it’s not like I needed those Goodwill clothes, but I really liked them! Plus that sweater was a bargain at $10.00 becuase Macy’s usually asks for $30+ for that brand’s sweaters. The tag said the sweater was markedย on clearance for 24 bucks, but that is only a $6.00 difference. So that is what brought the Goodwill price so high. That sweater was worth it though. โค

And the ground turkey should last me for a while! Can’t wait to bag it and freeze it for future meals! ๐Ÿ™‚

How was your weekend?

My Favorite Things to Buy at Dollar Tree!

Just so you know… Everybody I know who is frugal LOVES dollar stores! I mean, everything in them is a dollar! Who can say no to something you really want in a dollar store, or Dollar Tree? I know I can’t! When I see something I want, sometimes I just buy it because it’s only a buck. I mean, who can beat that? Not Amazon, that’s for sure!

But I do have my most FAVORITE things I like to buy at Dollar Tree though and I’m going to share them with you today!

Greeting Cards

Now THIS is far by my most favorite thing to buy at Dollar Tree. Greeting cards! For every holiday and occasion, you can pick up greeting cards here for 2 for $1.00 or $1.00 a card! They have both options! I always buy my holiday cards and birhday cards here for my friends and family! I could never send all of these cards out for the price I get for the, at regular department stores or grocery stores insead of Dollar Tree. You can also pick up packets of Thank You cards as well in case you have to send those out! There are also blank cards too in little packets! ๐Ÿ™‚

So if you need a greeting card for a special occasion, Dollar Tree is the place to go! It’s the most frugal way to buy cards!

Candy Bars

So when you are at the grocery store or some kind of department store, there is always a candy rack by each register you go to. Buuuuuy soooome caaanndy… says the store. So you go and reach for the candy until… you see the price of it! Eek!ย

Well, at Dollar Tree, the regular sized candy is only $0.89 a pop! Yes, you heard me right. 89 cents a pop. Now compared to other stores, that’s a screamin’ deal if you just want to buy a regular candy bar! If you want more candy for your money, that is where the bulk sections of candy in the Frugalpantsย Grocery Storeย and the bagged candy come in. ๐Ÿ˜‰ But for this example, $0.89 for a full sized candy bar is a good deal! There is also a candy section at Dollar Tree where you can buy a lot more candy in small amounts for a buck! But buying candy in bulk this way is not the way to go, I find. Like I said earlier, stick with buying candy in bulk or buying the bulk bags if you want a better deal. But Dollar Tree does offer some weird for a great price though! Heck, I even saw circus peanuts in the candy section once! Woohoo! Ther’s also “movie theater” candy in little boxes as well! Can’t beat that!

Decks of Playing Cards

Why spend $3.00 for a single deck of playing cards in a store when you can buy a 2 pack of playing cards at Dollar Tree for a buck? However, these cards have the big font on them which is good for people who don’t see well. Also at my Dollar Tree now, I noticed that they also sell casino cards from real casinos if you don’t like the bold faced cards 2 packs with the big font on them. I bought a pack of those and they are great! Great way to pick up some playing cards for those fun family nights together playing whatever! ๐Ÿ™‚

Toothpaste

So… I must confess… I still use kid’s toothpaste. Why you ask? Well, I just can’t stand how spicy or the flavor of adult toothpaste tastes like in my mouth. It just doesn’t click with me. Same goes for mouthwash. So instead of buying those fancypants $2-$3 tubes of kids toothpaste at other stores including the Frugalpants Grocery Store, I buy about 5 tubes of sparkle fun toothpaste for a buck each at Dollar Tree! You can also buy adult toothpaste as well at Dollar Tree! And guess what? They have name brand toothpaste here! Great way to stretch your dollar further shopping for toothpaste at the dollar store! ๐Ÿ™‚

Operation Christmas Child Supplies

Okay, I’m not going suggest you do this next category, but I enjoy participating doing Operation Christmas Child (OCC) Boxes. OCC is a part of Samaritan’s Purse which is a religious organization and charity that helps people who are victims of tragedies, war, and poverty. They have a program called Operation Christmas Child where they give out shoe boxes full of toys, hygiene supplies, school supplies, and clothes to kids aged 2-14 and the children love them! Even though I am not religious in the slightest, they do give these boxes in the name of Jesus and pray over them A TON before they reach the hands of children. But in some countries, they can’t tell the kids about Jesus or Christianity because of *insert reason here*, but the kids get the shoe boxes anyway. I don’t really care if the organization turns the kids into little Christians so as long as they get toys, hygene supplies, and clothing because these children are so poor that when they receive a shoe box, that is the first gift they have received in their lives. In their lives! Being the spoiled American that I am, I think that is pretty crazy. : (

So every time I pack a shoe box, I try to pack it extra special for each child. This year, I did seven shoe boxes, but with LOCMom’s help, we will have eight altogether! ๐Ÿ™‚ Pretty cool if you ask me! I can’t wait to see where these boxes end up going! ๐Ÿ™‚

The reason why I mention OCC is that Dollar Tree is a GREAT place to pack a shoe box and get supplies for them there! Now I try not to get the kids junk, so I always go for the name brand toys and things that will hold up over periods of time for the kids. Things like toothbrushes, floss, bars of soap, wash cloths, decks of cards, etc. But all name brand! ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s a great way to stretch your money further for shoe box supplies! ๐Ÿ™‚

Party Supplies

Ah yes, party supplies! For a buck each, you can deck out your house for parties purchasing streamers, ‘Happy Birthday’ signs, balloons, goody bags, etc. You name it, Dollar Tree has it! They even have colored party supplies, so if you want your napkins matching your plates, Dollar Tree has got you covered!

Holiday Decorations and Goodies

And if you want holiday decorations for whatever holiday is coming up, Dollar Tree will probably have it! I find so many fun holiday stuff like napkins, paper plates, plastic holiday trays, holiday stickers… Anything holiday related really! Like Christmas is coming up, so our local Dollar Tree has all of their Christmas stuff out already! Crazy, I know… But if you want something for Christmas, Easter, Halloween, etc., Dollar Tree is always my go-to place to get it!

Stickers

As a person who still mails greeting cards, I like to decorate them with stickers. Notice how much those fun stickers cost in the regular stores by the greeting cards? Unreal, right? O _O Well, at Dollar Tree, all of the stickers are only a buck for a single sheet that has plenty of sticker s on them to go crazy with! Some stickers even have Disney characters or cartoon characters on them! It all depends! I only put this category here if you likeย stickers or like to use stickers in crafting. As for me, I love them. ๐Ÿ™‚

Gift Wrapping Supplies

Oh my gosh, have you SEEN how much gift wrapping supplies are at Dollar Tree? Wrapping paper, colorful creative bows, gift tags – the works! Ever greeting cards. ๐Ÿ˜‰ All there! Forget spending a bunch of money on gift wrapping stuff at Target or the drug stores… You want to head to Dollar Tree for all of that! Stretch your frugal dollars further folks! Your wallet will thank you and your friends and family will love you gifts just as much! ๐Ÿ™‚

Helium Balloons

Ah yes, helium balloons! Balloons for all occasions! There’s birthday balloons, star shaped balloons of all colors to “decorate” your main balloons, baby shower balloons, congratulatory balloons… So many ballons! For example, these ballons are so popular that a Dollar Tree I went to in Napa, CA while visiting LOCAunt and LOCUncle and all of the Graduation Day balloons were put on reserve and they had run out of helium because of their popularity! Of course, this was the messiest store in the most extreme case of a Dollar Tree I have ever been in, but my point remains! Dollar Tree has great helium balloons and for a dollar each, you can build a nice little balloon bouquet for cheap compared to supermarketย helium balloon prices! They even have your stereotypical party balloons in the party supply section if you want use those balloons in your balloon bouquet also. ๐Ÿ™‚

Name Brand Air Fresheners

I have bought Renuzit and Glade air freshenersย at Dollar Tree and they are just as nice as the ones in the stores! In fact, they even sell Glade air sprays as well! However, I wouldn’t trust the Dollar Tree brand air fresheners in any form since they are all made in China. You just never know what is in that stuff. : ( I don’t just buy anything from the Dollar Tree. ๐Ÿ™‚

Glassware

I haven’t taken a good look in this isle for a while, but the glassware is pretty basic, but great for getting for parties or special occasions! Especially if you order in bulk online! ๐Ÿ™‚ ย I have seen wine glasses, beer mugs, and regular cups and they are all pretty nice. Of course, I like going to thrift stores like Goodwill for more variety in my glassware, but Dollar Tree is a good place to shop if you want newish and cheap glassware for your party or special occasion you are planning! ๐Ÿ™‚

And I think that is it for my recs! Or at least, that is all I can think of that seem to be rockin’ deals! I just love my local Dollarย Tree and would love for you, my readers, to take advantage of some of the deals in dollar stores like Dollar Tree as well! Now you know my dollar store secrets, haha. ๐Ÿ™‚

What do you buy at dollar stores like Dollar Tree?

What did I do/buy this weekend? (November 6, 2017)

Uggh, sorry for the late update, everybody! : (ย LOCMom and I got home late last night and I didn’t feel like typing. However, the Weekend Update starts now! ๐Ÿ™‚

On Saturday, I don’t remember what I did, but I think I stayed home all day. No money spent on this day. However, I did have my cheat meal which was Cool Haus Chocolate Lava Cake ice cream! ๐Ÿ˜€ One pint of it to be exact. It was sooooooo tasty!

I also went to K.K.’s concert on my Animal Crossing game and got a photo! Look everybody, it’s me and K.K.!

kk

After this concert, K.K. gave me a Rockin’ K.K. track for my home in the game! The track is very good and even when I was a teenager, I enjoyed this particular track a lot. ๐Ÿ™‚

Money Spent on Saturday

Total Amount Spent: $0.00

On Sunday, LOCMom and I went to Kohl’s! At Kohl’s, I bought a pair of pants that were originally too small on me, but now, they fit me perfectly! I have been working really hard on my diet and it seems that it has paid off since I can fit into size 17 pants (size 16 in women’s pants) again! Look at me rock these guys!

pants

My hips are still a little too big for my liking, so I’m going to keep going with my diet until I get down to my goal weight of 125 pounds! Right now, I’m in the 160 club and I still think that is too heavy for me. : ( Just gotta’ keep eating right and exercising and the weight should fall off eventually! ๐Ÿ™‚

And then at the end of the night, LOCMom and I went to visit LOCAuntV! We talked to her about a lot of stuff and I got to play with her dog, Boogie! Boogie loves it when you throw his toys for him, haha. ๐Ÿ™‚

And for dinner, I had one of my diet hashes! I love these, but if I am not careful, they could turn into calorie bombs depending on what I add to them! O _O;;; They’re basically burrito bowls, haha. ๐Ÿ™‚

hash

Money Spent on Sunday:

New Pants – $14.05

Total Amount Spent: $14.05

And I have a special treat for everybody! Today, I went to the Frugalpants Grocery Store, or Winco, and I fed the pigeons there! Remember I told you guys that I would take a picture of them for you? Well, here they are! ๐Ÿ˜€

birds

Aren’t they a bunch of cuties? I think I have them trained where to get food at because I always feed them in this particular spot in the Frugalpants Grocery Store parking lot. ๐Ÿ™‚ There’s about 30-40 of them on a good day, so this is not all of them, haha. ๐Ÿ˜›

So that is what I did this weekend! Nothing too exciting, but this women is happy to fit into regular sized pants again! ๐Ÿ™‚

How was your weekend?

October 2017 Budget Check-In!

Wow! This month sure was spendy after looking things over and adding everything up! Let’s see how I did this month! ๐Ÿ™‚

Bills: $500.00

For water, rent, air conditioning (soon to be heating), and other misc. bill like stuff here.

Activities: $30.00

My monthly fee for an activity I do each week! Keeps me social. ๐Ÿ™‚

Medication: $0.00

I don’t have any record of medication this month. I must have spent something here, but alas, no record.

Groceries: $143.92

After getting some advice from my weight loss group on Facebook, I have decided to start experimenting with more veggies in my meals. So far, so good! I’m also not buying too much junk, so that always helps with keeping a good diet in general! ๐Ÿ™‚ Also, going the Frugalpantsย Grocery Store for my diet food kept things low for me this month which is always good! ๐Ÿ˜€

Misc. Items: $187.84

Okay, I was a total spendypants on this category this month. A little too many trips to Goodwill to find treasures, plus the buying of Halloween candy in bulk made this category go up. I think I will be better off this month since I have had my Goodwill fix… Aw, who am I kidding? I’ll probably go to Goodwill in November still, but not as much, haha. ๐Ÿ™‚

Entertainment: $28.37

Came just under budget for this category! Which is always a good thing! ๐Ÿ™‚

Eating Out: $17.83

This category always hurts because this money could be used for something else in my budget. But I do not regret that hamburger I had while volunteering. ๐Ÿ™‚ It was 12 bucks and that includes the tip, but it was… so… good! *drools thinking about it*

Unnecessary Expenses: $14.62

Ugggh… The reason why this category is so high was because I bought some ice cream that was awful and had no pizzaz to it. : ( I chucked it out becuase I could not stand it. Booooooo. : (

And the grand total is… *drum roll*ย

Grand Total: $927.96

Yup… I was kind of spendy this month. I will try to reign myself in this month and not be such a spendypants. Hopefully, everything will work out! ๐Ÿ™‚
