Hello, everybody! Sorry for the late weekend update! I got back from a long trip of visiting LOCAunt and LOCUncle and I was too exhausted to write about my weekend yesterday! Let’s begin discussing it now! 😀
LOCMom and I went down to Diamond Springs to visit LOCAunt and LOCUncle and had a lot of fun! We also looked at mobile homes while we were there because we plan on moving down to that area by next year! I’m really looking forward to it since we hate the weather in the area we currently live in. 🙂
During our road trip to Diamond Springs, we stopped at Granzella’s in Williams, CA. Granzella’s is a touristy place that specializes in Italian food and other touristy foods. I was craving a chocolate cream pie snack while I was there, but they only had coconut cream pie snacks! Boooooooo. So I got dark chocolate gelato instead! It wasn’t a chocolate cream pie snack, but it was still good! 🙂
So then we arrive in El Dorado and looked at a bunch of mobile homes. Naturally the one LOCMom and I liked was overpriced, but our home touring was just to get the feel of the county we wanted to live in. We’re not moving immediately, but at least we got the idea of the area more. 🙂
Then, we went to LOCAunt’s and LOCUncle’s to stay for the rest of the weekend!
Money Spent on Saturday:
- Dark Chocolate Gelato (small size) – $3.75
Total Amount Spent: $3.75
On Sunday, before visiting LOCGrandpa for his birthday, LOCMom and I went to the local Goodwill to see what we could find and BOY, did we find treasure! 😀 The real treasure I found was two big cases of washi tape for around 5 bucks each! I’m talking about 40-50 things of washi tape in each container! WHAT A STEAL! 😀 Since I loooooove using washi tape to decorate greeting card envelopes, I am OFFICIALLY set for life now, haha. 🙂
Of course, there was some rolls of washi tape I did not want in the cases, so I happily gave them to LOCAunt who said she would use them in her crafting. 🙂 We eventually visited LOCGrandpa and had a wonderful family lunch with him at his care home! 🙂
We also fed the birds at the pond around our family’s house! There were a lot of ducks, haha. 🙂 But one bird, or goose, particularly stuck out and its name was Obi. Obi is not very friendly or accustomed to humans, so she hisses a lot.
This Obi’s hissing face that either says, “GET AWAY FROM ME HUMAN!!1!1” when you get too close to her or a, “FEED ME, HUMAN!!!!1!!1” face when she wants food. But she might be a male since she has slight bump on her beak and hisses a lot, but it’s kind of hard to tell.
I also read a little One Piece during the night when LOCMom and I were settling down for the night. 🙂 Always a good read! 😀
Haha, I’m slowly getting caught up to the current One Piece plot. 🙂 I’m about half way there! 😀 Someday, haha… 😛
And on our last day, we went to a place called Apple Hill. It was mostly just a place where vendors wanted to sell you something, but they did have good food! But a lot of the food was mostly apple themed, but it was delicious!
But I saw a little gem at the pond where there were white geese hanging around! I got close to them and they were pretty used to people. 🙂
What was funny about them was they had a fluffy poof on top of all of their heads. I have never seen such geese before! I wanted to feed them so bad, but alas, there was no birdseed there. 😦
We then packed up after our trip to Apple Hill and headed home. We stopped at Granzella’s along the way and lo’ and behold, I found my chocolate cream pie snack! I ate it all up happily, haha. 🙂 We then got home after our long trip on Monday night and hit the hay. Sitting in a car for so long is exhausting!
Money Spent on Saturday
- Washi Tape Cases – $5.19, $5.19
- Misc. Treasures at Goodwill – $9.60 (for all)
Total Amount Spent: $19.98
Money Spent on Monday
- Chocolate Cream Pie Snack – $3.95
Total Amount Spent: $3.95
So… A lot of spending at Goodwill. It’s my achilles’ heel. 😛 The misc. treasures I found at Goodwill were mostly stationery supplies. Think of it like blank greeting cards/paper and two physical items. All of it was pretty much fun stuff, but I think I’m set on blank greeting cards. They sure are handy to have though! 🙂
It’s getting down to the end of the month, so I need to tighten my belt in order to stretch my money efficiently though. Have started doing so this week. 🙂
So everybody, how was your weekend? 🙂
